A Mission We Have Dreamt Of..
From The Ground Up Theatre Company is devoted to producing purposeful and visionary theatre art that is socially conscious. We are dedicated to provoking unique thoughts and creativity within the community, while developing a deeper understanding of how theatre can directly affect the human condition. Committed to fostering one another’s growth, we will continually strive to be artists who gracefully express themselves with passion and courage in an effort to inspire a greater level of awareness.
Jennifer Cetrone founded From The Ground Up Theatre Company in November of 2006 in LA. The company's first production, "Getting Out "by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Marsha Norman was produced in 2007. Extending from a 4 week run to 6, the little company that could received excellent reviews for their production and ran to mostly sold out houses each evening. Then, in March of 2008, as Executive Company & Artistic Director, Cetrone made the decision to extend this family back to where she was born and raised…New York, NY. With an east coast chapter of FTGU, it is one of the only theatre companies that can be considered "bicoastal." With an amazing group of artists with two very different, yet alive and eclectic cities to draw on for inspiration; groundbreaking new works along with poignant published pieces are now produced on both the east and west coasts. Often times they premiere in one city and are then workshopped and remounted in the other, offering the resident actors the opportunity to travel with the show.

To and Fro Productions, LLC is committed to producing works that stir the mind and spirit. We are the village storytellers. Founded by the creative talents of Cedric Hill and Kirk Johnson, the two partners have a combined 30 years experience in film and theater production, Development, directing. The art of conveying legend, history and life lessons is where the company finds its inspiration.
To and Fro is currently looking for short narrative film and or episodes. (Scripts 5-15 minutes) As well as potential new theatre works.
